- Since you're reading this, you must have a Zoom ComStar 28.8 (620);
- and must be a frustrated unit, like me! :)
-
- Well, through experimenting I have found a modem choice that works FAR
- better that the ZOOM.INF included with the modem. (What was the author
- of this .INF smoking??)
-
- Anyway, first I found that the ROCKWELL PCMCIA DATA+FAX+VOICE worked
- *pretty* good, but not all the way... (I heard Zoom was reccomending this
- setting (feeling guilty?!?)) ergh...
-
- After a while I found that the CREATIVE LABS, PHONE BLASTER VOICE
- works the BEST SO FAR...
-
- It's called MDMDSI.INF, and is included with the Unimodem V release... check it
- out, and please respond if you have good/bad/better experiences!
- NOTE:
-
- You will still need to search and replace...
-
- HKR, Settings, DialSuffix,, ";"
-
- with:
-
- HKR, Settings, DialSuffix,, ""
-
- (remove the semicolon from quotes)
-
- ... in the MDMDSI.INF file itself.
-
- MUCH LUCK! (I know us Zoom owners need it)
- [SORRY ZOOM, but THE TRUTH HURTS]
